Fantastic publication
Bravo on the new book Sixty Etudes for Tuba Op. 5 by Dr Jerry Young! This is a welcome addition to my library and I will highly recommend to all students. It is particularly useful to my advanced Eb and F tuba students. Dr. Young s comments are right on the money!

Keeping up the good work
These studies fill a gap that has been empty for too long. There are at least two benefits: New technique-building material to sight-read and to practice, and exercises in a higher register than the old Kopprasch Op.6 Etudes. These are not high tessitura studies, though. They will build technique in the upper middle register, and also provide solid material for the student working on the Eb or F tuba. That said, they can be used for practising "pitch security" on the CC or Bb tuba, too.
